Although he has traveled all across the globe, Ralph Delius will always hold a special place in his heart for Canada.
Canada has always been a favorite travel destination for Ralph Delius as it is quick and easy to get to and offers tons of activities and sights to see and explore.
Below, Ralph Delius lists some of the best cities to visit in Canada along with some of his recommendations for things to see and do.
Best Cities to Visit in Canada
Niagara falls is one of the most common sites to visit as it is within reach of Toronto and between the US and Canadian border. Three falls combine together to make up Niagara Falls, including the Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. Together, these falls form the highest flow scale of any waterfall in the world at around 85,000 cubic feet per second. Niagara falls is a beautiful sight and a very unique part of Canada. Ralph Delius recommends taking the Maid of The Mist Tour to get a close up look at the falls and all of their natural beauty.
In the north west corner of Canada there is an array of peaks, wildlife, and adventures known as the Yukon. The Yukon is home to the highest mountain in Canada named Mount Logan, standing at 5,959m. It is a treasure trove of beautiful nature and views.
Many people who enjoy sports like to take a paddle and swim in the lakes and rivers in canoes and kayaks. Ralph Delius also enjoys hiking and walking the trails.
Quebec and Quebec City
Quebec is one of the largest provinces in Canada. Quebec City is located on the country’s east coast and is home to some of the most beautiful countryside and landscapes. Quebec is also one of the oldest known settlements in North America. If you are interested in colonial history, Ralph Delius recommends exploring Battlefield Park, also referred to as Plains of Abraham. Battlefield Park is a great place to enjoy the fresh air and explore some historical elements of the city.
