Education and Training
Ralph Delius MD has completed extensive training while earning many notable degrees and accomplishments. He began his studies at California State University-Northridge, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980. From there, he completed his M.D. in 1984 at the University of California-Davis.
That same year, Ralph Delius MD began his postgraduate training, completing an internship in General Surgery at the Ohio State University Hospitals until 1985. Over the course of the next ten years, he completed additional internships, fellowships, and residencies at prestigious universities and hospitals across the United States as well as London, England.
In 1995, Ralph Delius MD began his work as an Assistant and Associate Professor of Surgery. He has worked in Cardiothoracic Surgery as well as Resident Training for University of Iowa College of Medicine, University of California Davis Medical Center, and Wayne State University School of Medicine where he works currently.
Along with his teaching experience, Ralph Delius MD has continued his career as an Attending Physician and Vice Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
He is also a valued member of the Detroit Medical Center Group as well as a member and affiliate professional organizations such as the American Heart Association, the American Association of Thoracic Surgery, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Congenital Heart Surgeons Society among others.
